Fresh off her collaboration with Beyoncé on the track, “BLACKBIRD,” from Cowboy Carter, 2022 Americana Music Honors & Awards Emerging Artist of the Year nominee, Brittney Spencer will headline a special Charlotte Shout country concert Thursday night at First Ward Park. Spencer, a Baltimore native, released her debut studio album, My Stupid Life, in January through Elektra Records, and was named one of Rolling Stone’s “25 Artists To Watch” in 2023. She has also shared the stage with artists such as Jason Isbell, The Highwomen, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, and Maren Morris.

Spencer will be joined by Hickory, North Carolina country singer-songwriter and musician Krystal King and Raleigh all-women country/bluegrass band Riggsbee Road as openers.
