The Charlotte International Arts Festival’s Poetry Slam will feature renown poets Amir Safi and Yaw Osafo-Kantanka Kyeremateng for a night of storytelling and words that connect experiences, victories, losses, joy, and pain. Before each show, the award-winning poets will teach a free workshop from at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., focusing on creative writing, performance poetry, and moving from page to the stage.
