The longest-running theatrical show in South Korea’s history, Cookin’, combines various types of traditional Korean drumming, martial arts, acrobatics, and juggling with cooking for a truly unique spectacle. Directed by Song Seung-Hwan (executive creative director of the opening ceremony for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics), the production has hit stages in more than 60 countries throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.
With a crazy deadline looming, four frenzied chefs turn their kitchen into a dynamic performance area with Korean Samulnori (drumming) and martial arts taking center stage. During the wildly energetic cooking competition, the chefs put on a masterful display of percussive food chopping, knife throwing, pot banging, and fire-blowing wizardry.
