Stand-up comedian, actor, and writer David Cross returns to Charlotte this week for a stand-up show at Knight Theater. Best known for the HBO sketch comedy series, Mr. Show with Bob and David, and his role as Tobias Fünke in the comedy sitcom, Arrested Development, Cross is also the winner of a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing (The Ben Stiller Show). His 1999 HBO comedy special, The Pride Is Back, was named one of Rolling Stone’s 25 best stand-up specials of all time. Cross also hosts his own podcast, Senses Working Overtime, which features casual conversations with comedians and actors.

Sean Patton is a New York-based comedian, originally hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana. As an actor, he has appeared in IFC’s Maron, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, and TruTV’s Those Who Can’t. He also recently joined the cast of FX’s English Teacher, releasing his latest special, Number One, through Peacock.
