Joe Firstman, the singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and frontman of Americana/rock band Cordovas, celebrates the 20th anniversary of his debut solo studio album, The War of Women. A Charlotte native who attended Northwest School of the Arts, Firstman spent time as the bandleader on the NBC late night show, Last Call with Carson Daly, from 2005 to 2009, before starting Cordovas in 2011. He has opened for artists such as Jewel, Sheryl Crow, and Willie Nelson as a solo act, and released three studio albums with Cordovas through ATO Records: That Santa Fe Channel (2018), Destiny Hotel (2020), The Rose of Aces (2023).
