Update (6/21): Willie Nelson will no longer be performing in Charlotte for Outlaw Music Fest. In a message to his fans on social media, Nelson “is not feeling well and, per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days.” Lukas Nelson and the Family Band will take his place performing a set of some of Willie’s classic songs and his own. Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and Celisse are still scheduled to perform.
Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival will bring its biggest lineup in the traveling event’s eight-year history to Charlotte this week. The festival will feature folk songwriting legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant with bluegrass singer-songwriter and musician Alison Krauss, and up-and-coming multi-instrumentalist and spoken word artist Celisse.
Started in 2016, Outlaw Music Festival has developed into one of North America’s biggest annual touring concerts, featuring artists like Chris Stapleton, Neil Young, Luke Combs, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, and The Avett Brothers over the years. The event also features a traveling Outlaw Village Vendor Market with handcrafted jewelry, apparel, and more.
