Stanley Jordan is a jazz guitarist known for a unique playing technique that involves tapping his fingers on the guitar with both hands. He attended Princeton University and studied music theory and composition and performed with Dizzy Gillespie and Benny Carter. He signed with Blue Note Records in 1985 and released his debut album, Magic Touch, in the same year reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s jazz chart.
