The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster is a sci-fi horror film written and directed by Bomani J. Story in his directorial debut. The story is adapted from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, following a brilliant teenage girl (Vicara) who resurrects her brother from the dead. The film was shot entirely in Charlotte and premiered at the South by Southwest on March 11.
Celebrate the opening weekend of the film at Independent Picture House with a panel discussion featuring local cast and crew who worked on the film.
