Tumbao is a high-energy neo-Latin jazz band formed in 2019 from Raleigh consisting of Diego Avilez (piano, vocals), Rey Riera (congas), Julian Denton (bass), Logan Maxwell (saxophone), AJ Reynolds (saxophone), Rody Josué Huertas (trombone), Aaron Lane (trumpet), Tommy Quinn (guitar), Mike Buckley (guitar), and Ryan Masecar (drums). The bands sound reflects the many different musical flavors of Latin America like salsa, funk, Latin rock, and R&B.
Florencia & the Feeling is a jazzy, pop-funk fusion band with Latin roots from Tennessee, consisting of Lorencia Rusiñol (vocals, guitar), Austin Herron (drums), Isaac Ratliff (keys), Nick Castro (bass) and Noah Wise (guitar). Formed in April of 2021, the band plans to release their debut album this year.
Elora Dash is a singer-songwriter from Chapel Hill, North Carolina who released her debut album, Self-Actualization, in 2020.
