Charlotte FC will take on the English Premier League’s Chelsea FC on Wednesday, July 20 at Bank of America Stadium in a friendly match. Chelsea FC, the London-based Premier League club, is one of the most successful soccer brands globally, and the match will mark the return of American phenom Christian Pulisic, who took to the pitch in Charlotte when Borussia Dortmund went against Liverpool in 2018.
Charlotte FC is coming off a loss against Inter Miami on Saturday in MLS regular season play and now stand in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 26 points.
The match is part of this summer’s FC Series event featuring international matches across the country. The series concludes with a match between Arsenal and Chelsea at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on July 23.
