Just a few days after LaMelo Ball released his highly anticipated Rick and Morty collab sneaker with Puma, Melo unveiled a new colorway at his first NBA All-Star Game. A luminous purple with bright teal accents, the new Puma MB.01 addition follows this month’s Rick and Morty release which sold-out almost immediately, crashing the official Puma website throughout the release date.
Co-designed by Ball, the fashionable performance basketball kicks feature Melo’s signature MB.01 logo and “1 of 1” on the tongue while the sole reveals the word “RARE,” along with another Ball catchphrase, “Not from here,” spread across the lower tongue of the sneaker.
Update: The purple “Queen City” Puma MB.01 release date is set for March 18, 2022. LaMelo Ball and Puma have also unveiled refurbished basketball courts at L.C. Coleman Neighborhood Park in west Charlotte with the announcement.
