Multi-platinum recording artist and five-time Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne has announced his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour, hitting 28 cities coming to Charlotte on April 20 to The Fillmore and Raleigh on April 21 to The Ritz. Kicking off in Minneapolis on April 4, Wayne will perform in Charlotte for the first time since touring with Blink-182 in 2019, and Raleigh for the first time since Dreamville Fest in 2022 for DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz mixtape set with Jeezy and T.I.
Wayne released his latest studio album Funeral in 2020, and Tha Carter V in 2018, the fifth album in Tha Carter series which debuted in 2004. The tour will celebrate nearly 20 years of the series and possibly an announcement of the Tha Carter VI in 2023.
Pre-sale starts Wednesday, February 1 at 10 a.m. (code: CHORUS) and tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m.
