South African alternative country singer-songwriter and musician Orville Peck has announced an expansive U.S. tour that will make three stops in North Carolina in May. The masked singer who has remained anonymous throughout his career, will perform in Asheville (Rabbit Rabbit on May 28), Raleigh (Red Hat Amphitheater on May 30), and Charlotte (Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on May 31) with retro soul band Durand Jones & The Indications and indie pop/folk artist Debbii Dawson.
Peck, who released his debut studio album, Pony, through Sub Pop Records in 2019, and his latest, Bronco, in 2022, recently announced that he signed to Warner Records, and will collaborate with country legend Willie Nelson on a new song, “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other,” set to be released soon.
Durand Jones & The Indications, the vintage soul band from Indiana led by singer-songwriter Durand Jones and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Aaron Frazer, are coming off their latest album, Private Space, and Jones’s first solo album, Wait Til I Get Over, in 2023 through Dead Oceans. Minnesota indie folk singer-songwriter, Debbii Dawson, is best known for her appearance in the 17th season of America’s Got Talent, releasing her debut EP, Learning, in 2023
Presale will begin on Wednesday, April 3 at 10 a.m. (code: RIFF) and tickets will go on sale to the public this Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m.
