Charlotte rapper Reuben Vincent had social media abuzz when his performance for the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher aired on Tuesday night. The Jamla/Roc Nation artist who was discovered by North Carolina super-producer 9th Wonder at the age of 13, and signed to Jamla Records when he was just 16 years old, shined bright during the awards ceremony. Joining the Roc Nation roster in December 2021 (the entertainment agency founded by Jay-Z), under the tutelage of 9th Wonder and engineer extraordinaire Young Guru, Vincent has released multiple singles since the Roc Nation signing including “Geechie Suede” in August and “Look What You Did” in June featuring Winston Salem’s Sonny Miles.
