Khamari at The Underground (8:00 p.m.)

Rising R&B singer-songwriter Khamari hits Charlotte this week, riding the momentum of his sophomore album, To Dry a Tear, released in August. The Boston native first made waves with his 2023 debut, A Brief Nirvana, featuring soothing, atmospheric tracks like “Doctor, My Eyes” and “These Four Walls.” Known for his comforting, silky vocals and emotionally resonant songwriting, Khamari has quickly established himself as one of Boston’s most exciting emerging voices in modern R&B. Frequently compared to Frank Ocean and D’Angelo, he continues to carve out a distinct sound that blends vulnerability, rich production, and heartfelt lyricism. With the critical acclaim and growing fanbase surrounding To Dry a Tear, Khamari is well on his way to solidifying his place as a rising star in the genre.

ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament at Spectrum Center (March 10-15)
Tickets: $10 plus
The 2026 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to Charlotte’s Spectrum Center, with 15 teams vying for an automatic NCAA bid, improved seeding, and bragging rights. Charlotte has been a fixture in the tournament’s 70-plus-year history, hosting games since the 1960s and most recently in 2025, when Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel led Duke to a conference title and MVP honors. This season, Duke dominated, finishing 29-2 overall and 17-1 in the ACC, earning the top seed in both the conference and projected NCAA brackets. Beyond the Blue Devils, the league is wide open: Virginia, Miami, and North Carolina hold top seeds, while teams five through 11 are tightly packed, leaving several programs on the bubble. With a five-day, win-or-go-home format, the ACC’s depth and unpredictability make the tournament far from a coronation — strategy and execution will be just as important as pedigree.

Suffs premiered off-Broadway at The Public Theater in April 2022 before opening on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre in 2024 to mostly positive reviews. The production received six Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, and won two Tonys for Best Book and Best Score, as well as the Outer Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Musical. Featuring an all-female and nonbinary cast, Suffs blends history, humor, and heart, offering a compelling, relevant, and inspiring look at the women who shaped American democracy.
