The Hornets will face the Utah Jazz on Saturday night in the second game of a home back-to-back, following a tough loss to the Houston Rockets. The Jazz are coming off a much-needed win against the Washington Wizards, but have lost three of their last four, currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference standings. Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen leads the team in points and rebounds (23.8 points, 8.7 rebounds per game) and veteran Jordan Clarkson leads the team in assists (5.1), coming off the bench.
Saturday is Buzz City Kids Mascot Day, where all of the hometown mascots (Hugo, Homer, Sir Purr, Chubby, Norm the Niner) reunite. The Hornets are also partnering with Novant Health to give away Hugo Growth Charts to the first 5,000 in attendance
