The Charlotte Knights open their 10th season at Truist Field this week with a six-game homestand against the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles). The matchup will showcase two top Major League Baseball prospects in shortstops Colson Montgomery (Knights) and 2022 No. 1 overall pick Jackson Holliday (Tides), the son of seven-time All-Star Matt Holliday.
Opening week will feature multiple themes with the debut of a new food menu. The first 5,000 fans on Opening Night will receive free Charlotte Knights Rally Towels and the evening will end with post-game fireworks. Saturday night will celebrate the history of the Negro Leagues with the team donning the classic Charlotte Black Hornets uniforms with former players in attendance and a pop-up Negro League Museum in the concourse.
