After more than 50 years of touring, the Eagles have announced their final tour, coming to Charlotte on November 7 (Spectrum Center) and Raleigh on November 9 (PNC Arena) with The Doobie Brothers. Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey will “perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands,” according to the press release, and the tour is expected to continue into 2025.
Formed in 1971, the Eagles, who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide and have earned six No. 1 albums. The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1977 release is one of the best-selling albums in history and their fifth studio album, Hotel California, is certified 26-times platinum, selling over 32 million copies worldwide.
The Doobie Brothers have replaced Steely Dan in Charlotte and Raleigh due to health issues.
