Levine Museum of the New South and the Latin American Coalition present Festival Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead Festival, a celebratory Mexican holiday remembering loved ones of the past.
The festival will offer traditional foods like pan de Muertos (a sweet and symbolic bread), pozole (a hearty hominy stew), and authentic tamales and tacos. Festival Día de los Muertos will also feature folkloric arts and crafts, an altar exhibition, traditional dances, mariachi music, children’s activities, and a bilingual screening of the Disney Pixar animated movie, Coco.
