The iconic British rock band Queen’s 1981 Montreal show was immortalized with a concert film, originally released as We Will Rock You in 1982, and re-released as a live album and DVD (Queen Rock Montreal) in 2007. Now digitally remastered, the film gets the IMAX treatment with 12-channel surround sound and immaculate imagery. The concert took place over two nights at the Montreal Forum in 1981, supporting the band’s eighth studio album, The Game, and filmed by director Saul Swimmer. With dynamic frontman Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor, and bassist John Deacon, the film allows you to experience a vivid concert experience in the pre-smartphone era with their beloved hits such as “Under Pressure,” Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “We Will Rock You,” “Somebody To Love,” and “We Are The Champions.”

Queen Rock Montreal will screen in select IMAX theaters in Charlotte for four nights including Regal Stonecrest Piper Glen, Accenture IMAX Dome Theater at Discovery Place, AMC Northlake 14, and AMC Concord Mills 24. Check out the showtimes here.
