Charlotte Museum of History will host an interactive music history discussion with journalist and author David Menconi; photographer and music historian Daniel Coston; Ramseur Records founder Dolphus Ramseur; and famed producer, songwriter, musician, and “jangle pop” rock pioneer Don Dixon.

Photographer and music historian Daniel Coston will lead Charlotte music history discussion with David Menconi, Dolphus Ramseur, and Don Dixon. 

The event offers a deep look at North Carolina music history honoring some of the greats who have been in the scene for over 40 years. Listen to some rare music and learn more about the history of Charlotte music. Park Road Books will also be on hand selling books written by David Menconi (Step It Up and Go: The Story of North Carolina Popular Music, from Blind Boy Fuller and Doc Watson to Nina Simone and Superchunk) and Daniel Coston (The Last Days Of The Double Door Inn and North Carolina Musicians: Photographs and Conversations).
