Join Charlotte Museum of History to celebrate African American heritage and culture on Saturday, February 25 with a performance by Destiny Stone, local food vendors, a college fair, and a keynote address by North Carolina Poet Laureate, Jaki Shelton Green. Food options will include Ms. DiDi’s Caribbean Kitchen, Ethio-Indi Alkaline/Vegan Cuisine, and FunOhCakes with local vendors Jerome Hughes Art, Sun’s Jewelry, Jayla’s Heirlooms, Urban Reader, Village Studio and Gallery, Al Howard Art, and more.

Performances by Destiny Stone, Criss Cross Mangosauce, Arts+, and Jumping Dreams Double Dutch with several HBCU’s represented at the college fair including Elizabeth City State University, Winston Salem State University, Barber-Scotia College, Bennett College, Fayetteville State University, North Carolina Central University, and Johnson C. Smith University. The 1774 Alexander Homesite will also be open for special tours.
