Nimesh Patel is a stand-up comedian and former writer for Saturday Night Live, who was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in 2018. He was discovered by Chris Rock in 2015 and contributed to the writing team for the 88th Academy Awards ceremony, along with Hasan Minhaj’s 2017 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. Patel has amassed over a million followers since joining TikTok in the early days of the pandemic, and released his first official stand-up special, Thank You China, in 2022, followed up by his second, Lucky Lefty, in 2023.
