Static-X is a Los Angeles heavy metal band formed in 1994 by vocalist and guitarist Wayne Static, who passed away in 2014, and drummer Ken Jay. The band rose to prominence with their debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip, in 1999, which went platinum. The original lineup (bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay) announced in 2018 the band would reunite in Wayne Static’s honor, releasing their first studio album in eleven years, in 2020. The band recently released a new album, Project: Regeneration Vol. 2, on February 8, 2023.
