The Crown enters the second half of the season sixth in the Eastern Conference with 21 points, while Atlanta sits 14th after managing just three wins and an MLS-low 14 goals through 15 matches. Although newly signed French winger Allan Saint-Maximin is unavailable as he awaits his visa, Charlotte will look to All-Star midfielder Pep Biel, who leads the club with seven goals and four assists, to continue driving the attack. Atlanta claimed a 2-0 victory over a heavily rotated Charlotte squad in the U.S. Open Cup earlier this season, but this marks the rivals’ first MLS meeting of 2026. Formed in Florence, Alabama, in 2016 by five childhood friends, WILLIS has grown into one of modern indie rock’s best grassroots success stories, earning more than 350 million streams, an RIAA Platinum-certified record, and sold-out tours. The band’s breakout single “I Think I Like When It Rains” became a viral sensation on TikTok, while their warm blend of indie rock, psychedelic surf, and alt-blues textures has helped build a fiercely loyal fanbase.
