Following Greenville’s hosting of the Michelin Guide Ceremony and role as the backdrop for Top Chef: Carolinas, Euphoria is bringing its celebrated food experience to Charlotte with By the Starlight: Euphoria On The Road, a one-night-only collaborative dinner at Ever Andalo. The event will bring together Michelin-recognized chefs and Top Chef talent, featuring Sam Sheehan of Ever Andalo, Top Chef contestant Brittany Cochran of Stagioni, alongside Adam Cooke of Michelin-recommended Topsoil Kitchen & Market and Jon Buck of Soby’s New South Cuisine. The 2026 ACC Baseball Championship returns to Charlotte this week from May 19-24, bringing all 16 ACC programs to the city for six days of postseason baseball culminating with the championship game on Sunday at noon. The tournament field features several national contenders, led by the top-seeded Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who enter at 45-9 and are in contention for a potential No. 1 overall NCAA Tournament seed, alongside the No. 2 seed North Carolina Tar Heels, who are also chasing a top national seed. Bradford, who draws on influences from gospel, jazz, and R&B, is a regular presence in the Charlotte jazz scene. The Gantt hosts a panel of prominent collectors and cultural leaders for Charlotte Collects: Black Collectors on Contemporary Art, exploring art collecting practices, contemporary art, and the preservation of Black artistic legacies. Moderated by Dr. Anita N. Bateman, the discussion features former NBA player and collector Elliot Perry, award-winning actress and noted collector CCH Pounder, and Everette Taylor, CEO of Kickstarter. The event is part of the center’s Charlotte Collects series, which examines how collectors shape conversations around contemporary art — particularly works by African American and African diasporic artists — while highlighting the cultural impact of collecting, patronage, and preservation.

Americana and folk-rock outfit Time Sawyer will bring their roots-driven sound to the Whitewater Center’s River Jam on Thursday night. Originally formed in the foothills of Elkin, North Carolina, and led by songwriter Sam Tayloe, the band emerged in the early 2010s and has become a fixture on the Southeast folk and Americana circuit, performing at festivals such as MerleFest, FloydFest, and Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion while sharing stages with artists including American Aquarium, Hiss Golden Messenger, Steep Canyon Rangers, and The Wood Brothers. Known for blending folk, bluegrass, and alt-country influences with heartfelt storytelling, Time Sawyer released their latest album, Honest Effort, in 2024. The Princess Bride at Independent Picture House (May 23-24)

The Independent Picture House celebrates the life and work of filmmaker Rob Reiner with the classic 1987 fantasy-adventure film The Princess Bride. Adapted from the William Goldman novel and framed as a story being read by a grandfather to his sick grandson (Fred Savage), it follows the romantic adventure of Westley, a farmhand who must rescue his true love, Princess Buttercup, after she is forced into an arranged marriage and later kidnapped as part of a larger political scheme. Wilfried Zaha opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Toronto quickly equalized, but David Schnegg restored Charlotte’s lead with a long-range strike later in the first half.
